Albino Frog Drooling with Slime!

Someone came to me with a question I could not answer! Her albino frog was covered in slime and wasn't swimming up to the surface of the water anymore ... she told me he was an old frog (about 3 years old) and he just kept secreting a brown/clear/mucusy slime from all over his body.

Ever heard of this before?

Sure it wasn't shedding, which might look like mucousy slime? Though if it was the frog shedding she should have seen it before in the 3 years she has had it, I'd think. Otherwise, could be an external fungal infection, much like fish get. Maroxy would be a good medicine to treat with.

it's shedding. They do that quite often. It looks like slime. It's perfectly normal. I think they will actually eat the skin.
