Hi again,

I have been a bit absent from the forum lately....life got in the way.

Anyway, I lost my favorite fish (a Betta) to dropsy yesterday. He lived in a 5 gallon tank with a CPO and a rabbit snail. I did 50% water changes weekly and my parameters were always fine so I don't really know what happened.... Anyway, when I noticed the pine-coning I moved him to a qt tank.

The question I have, is what do I do to clean the 5 gallon he called home? I have live plants in there that I would like to keep (jungle val, phoenix moss, marimo moss ball, water sprite).

I am assuming I should just treat the qt tank with a bleach or vinegar solution?

Also, are my CPO and snail in any danger?

Dropsy if more of a condition than a disease, i would not think you would have to treat with anything.
