eyes plucked out!

Hi,

Last week I posted about my apple snails coming under attack from my platies in the general chat index, so I am sorry about posting again on the same topic, but i thought this would be the more appropriate index.

Not only has it not stopped, but two days ago I noticed that my big snails eyes are gone! I am so sick about this. Increasing my feeding and giving them veggies as a distraction hasn't helped.

I just can't understand why this has started so suddenly. The fish and snails lived together for months without any issues.

Does anyone have any other ideas, or had this happen to them?

I've never had this experience, the only thing I can think of is for you to get another 5 or 10 gal for your snails to live in. It doesn't make much sense to me but there it is happening in your tank. Hopefully someone else can offer better advice.
