So, about a month ago, I started having issues with my 20 gallon tank, nitrates and nitrites went high, so my Oranda goldfish started to suffer. I made 40-50% daily water changes, with prime and bacteria, and I thought she was doing better. Iam already treating her for fin rot, but none of what I've done has made a difference. I fed her 4 days ago, just to avoid more waste.
But today I measured the levels again and the tank has 2.0 nitrites and 20 nitrates, I don't know what else to do. Already added aquarium salt to help her, but she doesn't look good. I think she's developing dropsy, since some of her scales look a bit damaged. PLEASE HELP!!!
My tank has been running since february, and hadn't had any issues till now.
-Forgot to mention, I test the water for ammonia: 0 -
