Will the chemicals used to treat a tank with ich effect the bio filter?

The seachem matrix shouldn't remove the meds. Off topic but purigen I don't know on.
Malachite green and formalin I found to have no impact on ammonia levels. Not sure on nitrite - I didn't test. The article below also talks about effects in different ph and may be of interest.
Also I should mention my tank is well established and over filtered so it is possible bb died off first treatment night, then recovered by testing time.
