My betta has always been very peaceful with my five tetras, and 10 rcs. Until now.... He is trying to nip at the tetras, I don't understand why! All of a sudden, too. He also keeps losing scales, but I know he is healthy. My parameters are always awesome, and he eats like a monster. If I decide to rehome him is Craigslist a good way to give him away?

I have them in a ten gallon. Any advice appreciated.

Exact same happened with mine, they can get more aggressive as the get older. Mine used to flare and go for everyone, of course now and then they would fight back, that may be why your guy is losing scales, your tetras may be getting back at him.

So I bought my betta a 5 gallon hexagon aquarium all to himself.

The tetra's have probably had enough and are tag teaming the betta when the lights are off.
