So I have had a betta in my 20 long with cherry barbs and neons for a while now with no problems. I lost a cherry barb female the other day due to what I think was age as she was pretty big when I got her. So I woke up this morning and the cherry barbs had nipped a lot of my bettas rear fin off..I was soooo angry I wanted to flush them but of course I didn't. I had to put them in my already over crowded 38 but I think the betta will pull through...I hope

Yeah I did a pwc on all my tanks when I moved them but I think I may do another quick one tonight when I get home.

Well well well....Did I not say a long time ago that the barbs would not be good with the betta? LOL. ;)
Loke Dragon said, just keep the water clean and the fins will grow back. Bettas fins actually grow suprisingly fast! They will start out clear and then color up. My betta Diablo bites his fins off every week, so I get to see new finnage quite often LOL.

Well, 90G's is alot bigger than a 20G, but I still wouldn't put a betta with barbs, or any fish that is a known fin nipper for that matter. ;)

My gold barbs pick on my RTBS which is incredibly odd (RTBS should be the bully, but he thinks he's a pleco sooooo...), but my betta is always hanging out with the barbs so he probably is a little involved too!
