ragged betta fins

My betta caught ick and now his fins are all ragged. Is that a normal side effect from ick or does he also have fin rot? Now that he's over ick he's back to his usual self except for the ragged fins.

try bettamax or if you cant find that then melafix. Theres a melafix designed for bettas called bettafix, but its just watered down melafix, just use 1/3 of the reccomended doseage.

I have treated finrot successfully with BettaMax, or if it is more severe or has been a problem for awhile, try Kanacyn, another antibiotic. I have had good luck with both meds.

Read this topic for some opinions on treating bettas with BettaFix. I'm not "preaching" to anyone, I just want you to be cautious if you do use BettaFix.
