So I noticed a small creature on the glass of my aquarium about a week ago that keeps crawling around. I check on it every day and it never moves more than three or four inches from day to day. I do have three astrea snails in the tank and it does look like it could possibly be some sort of baby snail but I'm not sure.

here is a shot from inside the aquarium...

and another from outside the glass, he's kinda hard to see...

anybody know for certain what this is? I know the pictures aren't the best

Limpet maybe. Can you describe the top part of it? Does it have a shell?

How does that look like a limpet?

Sorry I had to do it.

Anyways, if you got a magnifying glass, here is a comparison of a live limpet

hmm, it actually may be a limpet. I couldn't get my camera to focus on it from outside of the glass but if you look closely it has the central part that is stuck to the glass and a small mouth like on a turbo snail with little antennae. The entire soft portion including the head is surrounded by the shell, nothing sticks out. So i'm about 90% certain it's a limpet after seeing that picture. Are they considered a pest or reef safe?

dont feel bad, im just under 30 and still watch it from time to time, even my 4 and 3 year olds like it, something about that talking barney fife fish.

Sorry for getting off topic, again lol.
