feather duster? or maybe somethin else

i dunno what this is but it seems to open and close with my light cycle i thought maybe a feather duster, but feather dusters arent photosynthetic are they?

Does it react to touch? Is there a visible tube? I can't really tell from the pic. but my feather dusters tend to come out more when the light is on. I do have one who is out almost all the time but majority seem to only come out with the light. This could be a coincidence though.

its in a corner where its gonna be really hard for me to get my hand at, and i i see what looks like a small tube

I have those all over my LR. The only time I see them go back in is when a fish swims by.
