Hey everyone..

Came home tonight from work and found this worm on my newly acquired button polyp. He was sitting right on top of them...appeared to be eating to his content. I removed him and stuck in my QT tank for now.
Any ideas on him? I know the picture is kind of bad. The body is mostly green and reddish in color with white feather bristles.
I didn't want to risk loosing my polyps.

TIA!! :D

Yes, that is a bristleworm. Judging from how you found it (eating a coral) and the fact that it is free roaming around...I would conclude that it one of the one's that you should remove.

Don't assume that they are all bad. Some bristleworms that look very similar are completely harmless and even beneficial.

Next time you see this guy out munching, just grab him with some tweezers. You don't want to pick them up with your hands, so I'm told.
