sea slug?

does this look familiar to anyone? its a slut just not sure what kind and where it came from or whether its safe or not. i havent added anything new to my tank in over month but that was a plate coral. other then that its been over six months since i have added any rock. and have never seen this before this is the first time i see this in my tank. caught me suprise because its fairly big and hard to miss its about 2 2.5 inches long and white. any ideas?

yea thats kinda what i was thinking..i wonder if this particular one is reef safe

I don't know if it's reef safe. How big is it? I know there are some white ones that eat corals.

its about 2.5" long...that maybe explains why my finger coral starting looking bad over time. it could have just been feeding on it be because it eventually died. it detached from the rock it was on. i just removed the slug. from reading stuff online it appears alot of these like to munch on corals.
