At first glance it looked like tiny blades of grass. Bigger ones seem to have a "flower" head on the end. It's not feather dusters, and not hair algae... I tried to google but no answers. Anyone have any ideas?

My tank params are:
Temp: 77.2
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: <5
Phosphate: 0

Lost all my fish a few months back in quarantine trying to battle ich. Only thing in the tank is snails and a banded coral shrimp.

Sorry the pics aren't great, as good as I could get from my phone.

Not that I've noticed. Got up early this morning and the lights had been off all night and it was still there, flower and everything. I poked at it with the turkey baster and they don't move at all.

No, it's not hard. I accidentally squished one into the rock poking at it. It's like a little seedling almost. So strange.

6 fronds in the first picture Greg. Taking that into consideration and the patch in the third picture that looks like more unopened polyps...an unusually tall polyp like jasmine?
At first glance I wanted to think more macro algae, though I'm not familiar with any that look like that.

I don't think it's algae, pretty sure it's a polyp of some kind. It isn't built like a featherduster, so I don't think it's a worm. Guess we will see when it grows larger, but it may just be a star polyp.

Thanks guys! I guess I'll have to wait and see. Figured it was a long shot with it being so small. Hopefully it will be a nice little surprise :)
