Whats this crab?

Hi all.


Got some new LR recently and found this guy in it.

I was cautious of his sharp and pointed looking claws so he went in the refugium in the sump.

Can anyone tell what it is in the picture?

It's now 4:40am and I just finished smushing a MASSIVE Xanthid crab that came in the same LR so I'm kean to ensure I don't have any future problems with this other unknown crab. Seriously. This Xanthid crab was close too 2 inches and inside a hole in the rock 1 inch big. Well was inside. Sad but my only choice was to cull him.

Anyway what's this green/blue dude please?

Looks to be a porcelain crab. That is an awesome hitchhiker! They mostly filter feed and are harmless

Also my girlfriend did see a little filter feeder crab at that back of the tank ages ago. Think it's that then.

Funny how I never linked the two before now

Glad it's not another Xanthid crab lol.

It does look like a porcelain crab. Wicked cool.
