building a canopy

Hey guys... was thinking today and was wondering if any one here has built a canopy for their fish tank. I want to build one for my 29 gallon tank. Couple issues.. hang on the back filter and my lights.

Has any one ever done this or have any sugestions on how to do this. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I am going to move this to the DIY forum, since it applies to both sides of the hobby and you'll probably get a better response there. Look in there for some ideas too. I think a few members have made DIY canopies.

I'm making one for my 29G tank now. I'm about half way done. As for the HOB filter, I'm adding a piece of plexi glass before the canopy. This would make my tank look higher as well as have more room for my plants to flower.
