Which way is better? Both ways will have the smaller 2x4s in front of them

I think i decided on this one. It's gonna be like that all the way around. I probably don't need that much but it's to help me sleep at night. Still need to build the top and piece it all together

I like the corners on the second pic. It would help keep the stand from racking. Definitely don't need 3 legs on the ends.

Yeah i know I don't need em but I figure what's it gonna hurt to add them. Would my last pic work like the one you like or about the same?

To fix the 1 inch gap problem can you just cut 1 inch off of all the longer pieces?

Yeah i could but I don't have a saw and don't feel like lugging them back to home depot. I thought about it but I'm more excited now to add flat 2x4s to the very base of the stand

I like the overlapped corners too j, def lose that middle piece in the short side, if it's any lower could create a see saw effect, not good for too heavy tanks, by the time your done that stand will be able to hold a 1000 gallon tank;)

On the 181/2 side, un had a pic with an extra 2x4 in the middle, no good, ryobi? An hour

Okay yes I did. This one? Yes it's a ryobi
