Please Help with Making Aquarium

So I was thinking wanting to make a L shaped aquarium. I believe my desk could withstand the weight, i would be connecting two ten gallon tanks. It curently has one on it and i wish to expand it. Anyways, my question is i was thinking of buying just the two ten gallon empty tanks and putting them together and put the filters from the already set up aquarium on it. So long story short, I would build a L shaped aquarium and put all the items from the already stabilized tank into the new tank. Would this cause a mini cycle or would it be okay?

I think it would be ok but u should ask your LFS

Thanks, like I know what I'm doing I just don't want to risk a ammonia change and kill my fish.

Are you putting 2 filters, one on each tank? If you have established filter media from your old tank, put some in both filters.
