Shop light in hood - water proofing needed?

I just finished building my DIY hood to match my stand, and I am going to put a shop light I had lying around in it.

The way I have it mounted, the bulbs will be 2" away from the water. Do you think that I need to put something between the bulb & the water (a sheet of Plexi maybe?)

BTW - I don't think heat or moisture will be too much of a problem <as least I hope ... fingers crossed> .... I've left the entire back open for ventilation.
 
I just built a lighted hood for my 125. I had glass cut for the top of the tank. It is easier to clean the glass than the tubes and keeps moisture out of the fixtures.
