Used aquarium diy

Hey fellow hobbyists. I recently bought a used 85 gallon corner tank from a guy for $500. It was about $2000 originally so I was super hyped about the purchase. Sometime in its travel (3.5 hours) I managed to scratch the outside front a few times. That or they were there when I picked it up and didn't notice after my long drive down there. I just got some cerium oxide and 3000 grit diamond powder ordered on Amazon to try and buff them out. Any hints, suggestions, or warnings you all would like to issue towards me before I begin?
