Anyone have a suggestion on how to propagate elodea? I have a bunch floating in my tank and they've all started to sprout roots. Do I cut them just below the root and plant them in gravel? Am I better off letting them float until more roots grow? Any help would be great!

Depends on your lights. The stronger they are, the deeper it can go ... Elodea Densa takes nutrients from the water column, and uses roots only to attach itself to something. So, it doesn't really matter if you planted it or not.
