I am looking into a c02 system and was wondering how long a one liter bottle would last. Its for my 29 gallon medium light. So I'm guessing about 1-2 bps.

I would at least do two 2 liter bottles, switching out one every week. You want one 2 liter bottle of co2 for every 10-15 gallons.

That is the recommendation for doing diy CO2.
I am assuming that you want to do a pressurized system. In that case i cannot help with how long a 1 liter container would last.

I own a Milwaukee regulator. It's a good entry level setup. It's not as high quality or as reliable as better (ie more $$$) regulators, but it will get the job done.

As far as tank choice, I wouldn't get anything less than a 5# tank.

Check out ebay. Look at aquateck of California. Good reg with solenoid for $79
