A friend gave me some generic water lily bulbs, and I'm not sure if I plant them what appears to be root side down or sideways up or on end. I've been told all 3 ways work - that can't be....any opinions?
I don't think it matters. I imagine in the wild that the bulbs drop and land all sorts of ways. The plant probably just uses gravity to help its roots find the substrate.
