Hygrophila polysperma

Will my Hygrophila polysperma survive in the water column like this (see pic.) my geo's keep uprooting them and they end up getting tangled around my bog wood but I think I quite like it? Scruffy looking. But will they survive like this?

They may. I've had stem plants and others free float for quite awhile. As long as they got light and ferts, most do fine. You might try planting between two rocks or pcs. of wood.
