Light recommendations

I have a 48 (L) x 24 (H) x 18 (w) tank and was thinking about getting lights to be able to grow low to medium lights plants. I currently have six Pearl gouramis (5 F, 1 M)in this tank and plan to add three more females at a later date.

As mentioned I am interested in getting lights to try growing low to medium light plants. Dont wish to go all the way with CO2 dosing at this point. Maybe in the future as I gain more experience. My preference is to have the tank covered. Can you provide any recommendations in terms of lighting to accomplish my goals.

90 gal tank, 48" width... medium light. I would recommend a dual T5HO fixture at 108W. That would allow for medium light plants without the requirement for CO2 (although some ferts will probably be required).
