Hi,
I recently started a 10gal planted tank, with a 28W aqualight for lighting. I replaced the Actinic 03/10000K bulb with a 6700K bulb. After adding a DIY CO2 setup, the tank is doing great. My question is if any one has used a 10000K bulb or a combo 6700K/10000K? Is there any advantage (disadvantage) to the plants of the higher color temp?

Thanks
Jim

Lots of people (including myself) mix bulbs. anything from 5000 to 10000k is gonna be just fine for plants. even 3000k bulbs work, but are very yellow and unsightly. a mix of 6500 an 10000 would give you a whiter looking light, and the plants would be none-the-worse.
