hi i have got straight vallis in my tank its growing really well but why its supposed to have bright lighting i only have one t8 tube.does this mean mabee i could grow some grasslike foreground plants thanks in advance.

Must vals, especially Jungle Vals, are actually fairly low light plants. Low medium or so.

then why do some websites say it needs bright lighting very missleading.

Have no idea why they rate jungle val as a high-light plant. I also had mine with a T8 globe at less than 1wpg. Grew a nice thick forest.

They might be high 'maintenance' with rate they grow. Got mine from somebody that kept his vals in an African chiclid tank. They grew faster than the fish could destroy them.
