Is my rock dying?

Lights went out on my tank. Waiting for more bulbs. tank still cycling.

Most likely the coralline algae on that rock is just dieing off or bleaching out. It'll do that normally from the time it's out of water during transport or setting up a tank. It doesn't have to be out of water for very long. It'll come back though. Your rock is fine.

I agree with Kurt. It`s just bleaching. It does that when added to new tanks. It will come back with a vengence. Before long you`ll be asking us how do I get it off my glass.
