Im thinking about adding some Algae into my refugium.
What kind can I get in Hawaii?
Can I use seaweed straight from the ocean?

Most people use chaeto or mangroves etc. probably your best bet in Hawaii. Also i would not add any plants from the ocean, many can be invasive.

I would assume so. The only thing that may not be legal I would think would be caulerpa.

Yes caulerpa is viewed by most countries as an invasive species now. Never heard anything like that about chaeto tho. Check with your LFS im sure they could let you know whats legal around there.
