Hello,

I'm a new member and novice aquarist. I had a 55 gallon tank many moons ago that houses two oscars and a common pleco.

Now, I'm married with children and have started a 29G tank with gravel base that houses 1 Angelfish, 1 red tailed shark, 1 German blue ram, 5 blue danios, 2 bristlenose plecos, and two ivory mystery snails that looked like they may have been mating a few minutes ago. Guess I will have more snails if that is the case! We did have an Angelfish die recently and I'm still upset. She would follow you in the tank like a puppy. My other angel is more of a recluse. He spends a lot of his time in the plants. There is a Fluval and tetra whisper filter on our tank. I have partially planted the tank with Amazonian swords and Anubias barteri attached to driftwood.

I joined this forum to soak up the knowledge and get advice on additional plants and fish suited for our size tank.

Thanks:)

Welcome

Welcome and you're in the right place. Hey get your danios some friends.

Thank you henningc! What kind of friends for the Danios? They kind of just swim crazy at the top and mid of the tank and every now and then I see a couple of them check out the bottom.

Krissycakes, thank you for the welcome and I'll try to get some close ups if I can :) my profile pic has a picture of the overall tank.

Thank you melosu58! Just added more pics of my tank also :)

Thank you. The snails are cool and yuck at the same time, lol! It's crazy to see them siphon air. So far they haven't been attacked by any of their tank mates, although I thought one of them was dead on several occasions until I would go to take it out and it would finally move. Very tricky that one!
