Not new with tanks, just with equipment

Hello,
I'm starting a new 75 gallon cichlid tank and already posted a concern....
So much to learn. I've had tanks all my life, but Im old school under gravel filter .... now that I started using an outside filter ... things arn't looking to good. lol

I hope to get this cleared up ... litterally ... by joining this site.

Thank you! Bron

Thank you.

I just set up a 75 gallon ..... all new. ( For Cichlids )

All my tanks start out coudy ... during cycle. When I ONLY used undergravel, they turned Gorgeous and clear eventually. THIS time I added a outside filter.

It's been 3 days ... getting worried, getting more cloudy.

New crushed coral ... 5 bags. I rinsed very well.
I'm using a partial underground to hold power heads (2) each side.
Also added a Marinelife filter with bio -wheel that pulls up to 90 gallons.

Wondering if new coral is the issue, OR .... the partial undergravel used with the outside filter is conflicting??

Thank you!!!! Bron
