does anyone know if this sand will be to fine for the xp3? in other words be sucked in and messing up my impeller in the long run?, would it help to have a prefilter?

I have definitely heard of people using this type of sand as a substrate, but I'm not sure if the grains are fine enough to get sucked into your filter. As far as I know, a prefilter would prevent any problems.

I use the S grade and don't see evidence that my XP2 sucks it in. It doesn't really float and drops fast when stirred up. I have a cichlid that likes to pick it up and spit, but even he isn't causing problems. I don't see it in mycanister filter when I clean either.
