Aquarium Advice Freak
Hey everybody,
It is about time for me to replace my bulb in one of my fixtures. This fixture is a single power-compact 65W over a 10g soon to be nano reef. Anyways the bulb I found is the 420nm/12000K bulb made by UVL, here is the link:
65W Power Compact Bulb - Straight Pin
Has anybody used this bulb and do you think it would be a good choice for my corals, or should I just get a normal coralife 50/50 bulb? This will be the only thing over the aquarium so it needs to meet all of the needs. Also I was wondering what would be the problem with just going with a 10 000K bulb or 6700K bulb and skipping the actinic all together? I realise corals need some blue light but since 6700K is supposed to be the brightest, and closest to natural sunlight, wouldn't it be the best choice for a reef aquarium?
