filter sponges

i went to the lfs when i heard that the charcoal can possible put toxins in the tank so i went and bought some aqua clear filter sponges thjat i hope will fit in my tank but even if they dont i can always trim them, can i just switch em out with no problems?

Yes your tank is well aged. You can switch some media out. Shouldn't cause you any problems.

good maybe itll stay at full flow now thanks and can i jsut put the whole sponge in there even if i have to make it fit and it fills the whole area?

cool i put it in and its flowing full now but ill see in acouple days if it still is and it was either aquaclear or marineland with activated carbon on teh inside so i went with aquaclear bc i didnt want the carbon
