500 g
I googled "Parts List for Fluval 406" and it led to this page:
http://www.thatpetplace.com/fluval-406-canister-filter-100-gal
On the right side it listed Fluval BioMax Media 17.63 oz
Had to break out the converter and it displayed 499 g

Good find! Well i guess the 300g i bought of ebay isnt going to go far then.

You never know. Even if you had a 1000g of it, you would only have X amount of BB (since they should be in proportion with the amount of nutrients available).
With 300g, you should have room available for future bio media purchases or you can add floss as a water polisher.
