Fluval 70

I have a Fluval 70 filter that seems to have a slow flow rate. Is there anything that i can check?

Check the impellor in the motor and make sure it isn't clogged, maybe rinse the filter media in tank water so it isn't clogged, make sure the flow control is on the highest setting, think that's really about it
