Ok I didn't pay enough attention when I ordered my submersible tank heater and well... I have a 10g tank at the moment and the heater I got is suggested for a 50g . Can it be used but turned low or did j just throw my money away

You should still be able to use it as long as it fits and you can deal with the size of it. It will heat the water super fast in that tank size so you may never notice it running. I'd give it a shot and see how it goes.

I just don't want to kill my fish off lol I haven't had them long . I'm getting a 20g tank soon so I can move fish over and get more tetras oh what temp would be ok for them . I know the goldfish is more on the cold side, but I have to try my best to make a happy /safe environment for them

Well I'm an idiot , it looked like it would fit and it didn't so my fish will be fine until the new home gets here!
