help with palm filter

Just got this filter from the Doctors. I want to seed it but its sooo tiny that I'm afraid that it will block the flow. Any ideas? I could take some Bio rings and put them in but I don't really want to cut my bags. Thoughts?

Maybe you can run the media from the new in the old filter
