Is this a serious problem?

I just realized that my stand doesn't have a place for the front of tank to rest on. The top was built out of angle iron. It didn't seem to be a problem for my 20L that I had on it. I'm going to put a 29G on it. Do you think I should put a piece of plywood over the top? I'm not sure if it will bend down with the extra gallons and crack. What do you guys think. Thanks for the help.
