I have one that looks exactly like it that I got from Aquatic Eco Systems. Works great.

Yeah, that appears to be the same generic "premium blue refractometer".
mine works great.
here's a tip: the instructions to calibrate it are stuffed behind the foam in the top half of the hard plastic case

The good thing about the one pictured is that it is ATC (automatic temp compensation). That's really important. Mine is black rather than blue so different in some way, but also ATC which I wouldn't do without.
