Skimmer

I have a reef octopus which I love. It's been running great for months now. Tonight I shut my return pump down so I could place a purple tip torch coral then turned them back on . Only to have the skimmer go nuts and over flow . It's all clean water. Any ideas? I adjusted the skimmer so it's all the way open.

Just thought of something.... Could it be the epoxy??? Shall this too pass?? Lol

Things like epoxy, or even the oil from your skin, can sometimes cause skimmers to overflow.

I've had the epoxy do the same thing to me.

Should I just let it run its coarse ?
