Sponge filter

Hi! New to the forum. Im trying to get ready tho raise some angel fish fry. I purchased a small sponge filter (probably too small for the tank)(no, i dont know what size the tank is ?). Anyway, do i need to lo ut a nylon stocking over the sponge? Thanks, Yvonne

No, you shouldn't need one. Sponge filters are great with fry.

Thanks! Here's another question...do I use Prime when I do my daily water changes? They are not free swimming yet, but should be tomorrow.

Yes, any new water you add to an aquarium should be treated with a dechlorinator.
