Syhpen hose With a shut off/self restarting valve?

well recently while dripping my fish to acclimate them i noticed that i never have to restart the syphen on it because of the valve keeping the seal tight... will this same concept work for my hose that i use for PWCs? is this readily availible... will it even work?

It will work. You need a PVC ball valve of the appropriate size, and the barbed fittings to attach the hose to it.
