which sand to use

I want to do black sand in my 75g and my LFS has this Super Natural Aquarium sand. I thought i was using tahitian moon sand which i wasent, i was using this stuff. So do you think that or 3m color quartz S grade would be better? ALso how much do you think i would need for my 75g? i was thinking about 80 pounds.

Not sure about the sand but I used about 40lbs in my 30g long (3'x12"). That got me a 2.5-3" sand bed. If you aren't going planted then you could go less.

If you're thinking 3M, better make sure it's still available. 3M has stopped making it, going with something new, so the only available stuff is whatever places have in stock.
