I don't think Phoenix makes a 175w bulb, but the 250w Phoenix 14K bulb (74 PPFD) puts out less PAR then the 175w Iwasaki 15K (86 PPFD).

You're using more electricity and generating more heat with the 250 vs the 175 and getting less PAR. I never used the Phoenix but they are a popluar bulb.
