My angels of about 5 years have laid eggs.
The wife made me put them in the net as they were eating them.
Wish me luck.

Beautiful fish! What are you going to do with the fry?

Possibly.
This happened years ago and the first few batches of eggs never hatched
When I Did have fry the angels dislodged the net.

They are chasing everything in the tank right now too. Usually only fight each other

Those babies didn't make it? Or did they?

Did you have the parents raise them or did you try to? I heard that some are great parents and others are terrible parents.

I actually have 3 angels and they usually eat the eggs right away.
Tank has plecos and rasboras neons and a red tail shark
so not very quiet

Oh. What my dad did was put them in a 29 gallon and let them breed and some of his breeding pairs would raise them and others wouldn't. He'd let the ones who would raise the babies grow to be like dime size I think of nickel size then put them into a 40 gallon breeder and let that be a grow out tank. The ones that wouldn't raise the fry he'd put in a 10 gallon and raise them. I don't know how he did it but then after they got to that dime size he'd put them into the 40 gallon

Im not sure what im gonna do but for now eggs are safe. Gonna look for a cheap tank and raise the fry alone if possible.

Hard to see eggs

I want your fish!!! They are so beautiful!!! It might be hard to raise them but it's so worth it! You have amazing looking parents so your fry will become stunning adults

Thank you so much.
I upgraded to 75g in jan. And must have made them happy.
This is an unexpected but interesting step for me.
I have some research to do for sure.

Thinking about trying live plants soon also

Nice tank! I have Amazon swords in my 60 gallon tank. Well only 3 small plants and they seem to be doing fine. I also have pathos and it's good too. It's gravel and they haven't died or anything. I got them like a little over a month ago but idk I might have just gotten lucky of something. I have like 1.5-2 inches of gravel idk if that is also a reason
