Very fat molly

I have had my molly for about 8 months now, she is a balloon bellied molly. Over the past 4-5 months she has been very fat - at first I thought she was pregnant but she has had no babies! Has anyone got any idea, is this normal?

Because balloon mollies are genetically modified and bred so hard many balloons have lots of deformation larger or smaller than normal organs and a susceptible to disease. Their are no ďnormalĒ balloon mollies it is very likely whatever is up with your mollie is out of your control because of all the abnormalities in balloon mollies it is hard to treat or find out what is really wrong with them.

To me, she looks fine balloon mollies get big stomachs just watch her swimming behaviour and eating behaviour if she stops eating or swims funny then you have a problem.
