I had five little molly babies in a breeder box. They were there yesterday when I cleaned the tank and totally gone today.

I did a water change and stirred up the gravel, looked in the filter, no sign of any of them anywhere.

They were too big to get through the slits of the box.

What on earth could have happened to them?

Assuming that they were the only things in the box, then I think it is safe to say they were NOT too big to get through the slits of the box. Adult fish will also try to slurp babies through any opening also.

I am sure they were too big for the slits. They were several weeks old. I'd imagine that they would have gotten out before if they could fit through.

I almost made a rapture crack in my OP.

Maybe we should be worried. :hide:

It is just so odd. They were fine for weeks till this afternoon.

r u sure u didn't accidentally submerge the trap while siphoning/addign new water enough so it went down even an inch or so for them to escape
and btw, usually molly fry are safe to be kept with adults within 2-3 weeks once tehy r 1/2"
