The Thread title project - a little change

Over the next few weeks you may notice some thread titles being subtly changed by our forum moderators. We are doing this to make it easier for folks to find information.

Most titles will not be changed at all. Thread titles that are changed will stay as true to original intent as possible and quite brief but we also want them to reflect the basic info in the discussion thread.

Ordinarily when we make a change to a thread title we message the thread starter but as we may be doing a substantial number of these - we are going to simply ask your indulgence as we work to improve the forum for all readers. Thanks in advance for understanding

That's GREAT! Then when someone searches a certain thing, the right thread will come up. Good job!

Good stuff. So often on these types of forums, you'll see thread titles such as "Help" or "What am I doing wrong?", which is not useful for anyone reading the forum and doesn't help the thread starter as they less likely to get the help they are looking for.

That is a great point, Mark! In addition to helping with future searches, a more descriptive thread title helps the thread starter now as they look for information. The thread title has to attract the members' attention so they will open the thread and help
