K thanks the tank has been on for about a week and the fish have been in about the same. I think I need to not stress so much, just don't want the fish to die wife would cry and tell me I don't need any more.

So um guessing I don't have enough fish to even start a cycle plus I didn't get any live plants and hear that they make ammonia too

I did get fish already so really being stuck the old fashion way, I have 2 platys already and seem like my ammonia isn't even building up

I have tried looking up about cycling and test my ammonia daily, I read a lot say you need to change your water every other day, so really that's bad to do? And I have 2 fish now should I add a few more in about a week or 2 and let the tank keep up with that then kind of repeat the process...
