I was wondering about compatibility for tank with a single apistogramma and a few golden white cloud minnows. (maybe 4?) Im sure people will mention the cooler temps for white clouds, and this is true. However ive had white clouds in many community tanks for years that were 76-78 with no issues...
Ok so a lot there lol.
So the idea is for the plant nutrients to come from the nitrate rich soil and organics. Since there sand to cap it, i did add a little of aquarium co ops easy green as well as i knew the plants roots had to develop and find the soil to begin pulling from it. But even if...
I know this can be quite the controversial topic for a lot of people, but....
I have a HEAVILY planted 5 gallon. Sponge/heater. Will get regular water changes and water tested multiple times a week. That said any interesting ideas on bottom dwelling fish?
I know corys could work in theory but...

The other thing ive ran into with my plants (when it comes to yellowing leaves, especially at the tip) is that my nitrates have been too low. Normally people think its best to have as little nitrate as possible. But the plants NEED the nitrate so i have had success keeping them at around...
Hopefully it works out! Yours looks a world better than the one i currently have. In the past, i know that theyve taken awhile to establish, but this one is being so stubborn. All the plants in this tank have exploded and look great...except the Val. Its the same tiny size, and two of the leaves...
